Raleigh Society collaborates with local partners to engage youths through local adventure-based service learning projects.

We are currently collaborating with Lakeside Family Centre on a programme to engage the youths during the Centre’s drop-in session on various fun and meaningful activities. Lakeside Family Centre provides services to children, youth and families in the key areas of counselling and financial support.

We are looking for vibrant volunteers to interact with the youths in the evenings of the last Friday of every month at the Youth Corner at Lakeside Family Centre.

Start date: 24th February 2012

Activities could include:

  • board games session
  • movie nights
  • amazing race
  • Jungle survival skills
  • snack making
  • map orienteering
  • ropes confidence (subject to availability of location and night slots)
  • expedition planning
  • Facilitation
  • ad hoc chit chat sessions with people from interesting walks of life (career options etc OBS instructor, magician etc)
  • Frisbee competition
