Application Guidelines

Operation Vannakam requires a total of 120 volunteers spread over two phases of three weeks each. Applicants MUST be able to commit to an entire 21-day phase of the expedition. Before starting out for the mission, each venturer will go through a process of raising an estimated S$2000-S$2500 to cover the cost of the expedition, transportation, and subsistence. The actual amount shall be advised at a later date. We will be applying to YEP to seek for funding support on venturers' behalf, to help to subsidise part of the cost.

This sum does NOT include the cost of:
- personal equipment,
- vaccinations,
- medical checkups,
- travel visas and
- any personal expenses incurred during the expedition.

Selection process

1. Submission of application form
2. Shortlist for interviews – to be informed by 7 February 2009
3. Interviews on 14 and 15 February 2009
4. Induction Camp from 21 to 22 February 2009

Attendance at the interviews and the Induction Camp is COMPULSORY.
